Prof Peter Vanacker has been a neurologist since 2013. He received his training at KULeuven, UZLeuven and AZ Sint-Jan in Bruges to become a general neurologist. Afterwards, to obtain his Phd, he was working at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire VaudoisIs (Lausanne) and Inselspital (Bern, Switzerland). Currently working as a neurologist at the University Hospital of Antwerp (UZA) and az groeninge in Kortrijk, where he heads the stroke center. He is also active as a lecturer, scientific researcher and coordinator of clinical studies at the University of Antwerp.He has particular interest in the treatment of CVA patients and headaches, but can certainly be consulted for the full range of neurological disorders (including dementia, movement disorders, sleep, epilepsy).For further in-depth research and treatments, we mainly cooperate with colleagues at the UZA.
