In 2011, Dr. Dhaenens graduated as a physician from K.U. Leuven From 2011 to 2017, he enjoyed general surgery training that included experience at Imeldaziekenhuis in Bonheiden, AZ Sint Blasius Dendermonde and UZ Leuven, Gasthuisberg.After which he also obtained his accreditation in General Surgery. He then followed additional training in vascular surgery at AZ Sint-Blasius Dendermonde and OLV Hospital in Aalst.In March 2019, he rightly obtained his certificate of special competence in vascular surgery. Since September 2019, he started as a vascular surgeon at the AZ Monica in Deurne.Dr. Dhaenens uses classical and minimally invasive techniques in arterial and venous pathology with a particular interest in endovascular techniques.
